You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to join our team in Rome supporting FrontEnd Engineering Design (FEED) and Basic Engineering Design for Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) projects. In this role you will play a critical part in coordinating materials planning procurement oversight and technical compliance across a multidisciplinary project team.
You will work closely with process mechanical and procurement teams as well as with FEED contractors and vendors to ensure timely availability and specificationcompliant delivery of all project materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage material requirements for all phases of FEED and Basic Engineering Design related to HDS projects including piping valves catalysts and pressure equipment.
Work closely with process and mechanical engineers to ensure that all materials are selected according to project specifications safety requirements and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the procurement team and vendors to obtain technical offers conduct bid evaluations and ensure proper documentation (e.g. MTCs ITPs certifications).
Track material deliveries lead times and logistics ensuring alignment with project milestones and avoiding delays in downstream activities.
Participate in vendor and technical clarification meetings providing technical input on materials selection and compliance.
Monitor and report on material costs availability risks and storage or inventory requirements.
Maintain accurate and complete material traceability records for QA/QC and regulatory purposes.
Support internal and external audits related to materials compliance and procurement documentation.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Engineering Materials Science Supply Chain Management or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in Materials Management preferably in oil & gas refining or chemical plant projects.
Strong knowledge of materials specifications (e.g. ASME ASTM API) especially those relevant to highpressure hydrogen and sulfurcontaining environments.
Experience working in FEED and Basic Engineering Design phases for refining or petrochemical projects.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and document control for materials tracking.
Excellent communication and coordination skills for working across engineering procurement and contractor teams.
