As the site engineering manager you will be responsible to setting up the engineering and automation strategy in line with JDE Peets engineering strategy and translate this to a tactical and operational plan for your team. Your main focus will be leading the Process Team and preparing and execution of major CAPEX projects and/or strategic NPD projects. We are looking for coffee technology expertise and for someone with strong people leadership skills who drive projects successfully. Youll play a key role in making a real impact in our value chain.
Heres what youll be responsible for:
- Leading the Engineering project and process team with 20 direct reports
- Define and manage the process packing and digital project portfolio including budget (including ballpark figures) and planning.
- Manage realization of the portfolio including commissioning and qualification (CQV)
- Lead process part in major projects within manufacturing
- Responsible for the Automation Technicians team
- Support production the 3 plants in manufacturing and act as 3rd line support at critical breakdowns.
- Responsible for the Utilities Plant and supportive services like purchasing and spare parts warehouses
- Initiate ongoing improvement of Process and Equipment standard within JDE Peets manufacturing.
- Drive standardization initiatives around new technologies relevant for JDE Peets global manufacturing network
- Drive key user network in the area of manufacturing to share best practices and leverage available knowledge across plants.
- Monitor developments in the market by e.g. participation in external expertise groups
Qualifications :
Were looking for a bachelor/master degree in ideally process engineering/chemical engineering or mechanical engineering whos takes ownership and knows their value. Youll need (seniority/experience with) and the ability to thrive in a diverse team. Were more focused on the overall fit than a long list of requirements but here are a few things that would be great to have:
- 8 year experience as engineer or project manager in the food and beverage production or related industry
- Knowledge of production processes
- Strong team player process driven (helicopter view) selfstarter and able to work in a team environment at very fast pace able to work well under pressure with multiple deadlines;
- Excellent communication and network skills you actively maintain your network with all JDE Peets factories;
- Strong project management skills;
- Ready for occasional travel;
- Fluent in English and Dutch
