Job Description

The Australian Financial Reviews podcast team is seeking an experienced producer to work on the Walkley awardwinning weekly news podcast The Fin and the highprofile Chanticleer podcast. The successful candidate will be passionate about audio storytelling have excellent organisational skills and a track record of turning around audio on a tight deadline. 

Day to day you will:

  • Undertake episode preproduction production and post production including; planning scripting recording managing interviews editing sound design & mixing. 
  • Source and integrate news/archival audio and underscore music/themes
  • Publish podcast episodes for distribution on various platforms
  • Handle talent bookings as needed; including scheduling guests for the podcasts
     

Qualifications :

What youll bring: 

 

  • Strong production postproduction and audio editing skills
  • Ability to script voice and edit innovative audio stories
  • Experience as a reporter editor or producer in a newsroom (desirable)
  • Experience in studio and field recording
  • A solid understanding of the AFRs content and the issues which engage the audience
  • Experience managing publishing across multiple platforms and analysing audience metrics
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (desirable)
  • Proficiency in ProTools (desirable)
