Step into Your New Role
Kleinfelder is currently seeking an experienced Lead Construction Inspector for utility projects in our Springfield MA office.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Monitor the construction of sewer and water main replacementto ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Experience with CuredInPlace Pipe (CIPP) strongly preferred
- Interact professionally and cooperatively with the Owner Contractor and Kleinfelders design team to expeditiously address construction challenges.
- Lead onsite construction progress meetings attended by the Owner Contractor and regulatory agency representatives.
- Prepare daily reports of construction progress.
- Ability to learn and use a survey grade GPS unit for collecting asbuilt information.
- Participate in the review of contractor submittals and Requests for Information.
- Review contractors monthly payment requests.
- Review and evaluate potential change orders and negotiate change order cost proposals.
- Coordinate facility testing and startup activities.
- Evaluate substantial and final completion.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years successful past experience with similar responsibilities on multimillion dollar construction projects involving utilities and roadway.
Education:
A.S. degree in Construction Management Engineering or Architecture; or equivalent experience and/or education
