You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe position is an excellent opportunity for an individual to contribute to the longterm growth and development of the North American Analytical Center of Excellence. This position is primarily accountable for using scientific approaches to provide support to our applied research & product development programs and solve paint & coating problems for our North American businesses.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access to confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Companys staff employees and business relationships.
In this role there will be emphasis on providing support for field failure investigations manufacturing issues and physical characterization
The successful candidate will be well organized capable of managing multiple project assignments and communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
Responsibilities include:
BASIC QUALIFICATION:
Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
Must have a bachelors degree in a Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field
Preferred:
Bachelors in Chemistry
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Minimum of 3 years Industrial Analytical Lab experience
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a team setting
Ability to interface with different business units to satisfy customer requests
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis
Preferred:
Experience in coatings or polymer technology
Experience with some of the following analytical techniques: FTIR GC GCMS Microscopy HPLC Particle Size or Thermal Analysis techniques.
Analytical Instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting skills
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
Experience in scaleup procedures for manufacturability
Paint industry knowledge and awareness
Experience developing products for architectural markets

10%
Upon completion of construction the individual selected for this role will primarily work at the new SherwinWilliams Global Technology Center in Brecksville Ohio. Construction is expected to be complete in 2025. Until then the role will be based atBreen Technology Center located at 601 Canal Road Cleveland OH 44113.
