The Measurement Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining gas metering regulating equipment as well as support systems (RTU heaters ordorizers control valves gas quality instruments and Over Pressure Control equipment and systems).

Heres what you will do:

The first level Measurement Technician I is an entry level position in the Enbridges Trades Job Family. The primary focus of this role is to take on duties that develop the incumbents core / fundamental skills and knowledge of the area in which they are working and apply them in a safe manner.

Working under the direct supervision of Senior Measurement Technicians the Measurement Technician acquires a working knowledge and performs the following duties and responsibilities:

• Performs gas flow and meter calculations.

• Tests inspects maintains and troubleshoots assigned meters including positive displacement rotary Coriolis turbine orifice and ultrasonic meters.

• Tests inspects maintains and troubleshoots assigned pressure regulators control valves and relief valves and other pressure limiting devices.

• Tests inspects maintains and troubleshoots pneumatic control devices.

• Tests inspects maintains and troubleshoots RTUs and EGM systems.

• Tests inspects maintains and troubleshoots assigned gas analyzers including gas chromatographs water vapor analyzers sulfur and hydrogen sulfide analyzers and oxygen analyzers.

• Perform routine maintenance on an odorizer per SOP Determine and set the injection rate of an odorizer. Determine and report odorant usage and odorant concentration in gas.

• Operates and maintains power supply systems.

• Identifies pipe valves and fittings as to size and wall thickness using mechanical or electronic measurement devices.

• Assure that electrical installations at Company owned or operated measurement facilities meet applicable codes and standards.

• Install small diameter instrument piping and tubing per specification and procurement of materials.

• Ability to use test and inspection equipment to verify and/or calibrate various instruments and maintain test equipment certifications per SOP.

• Operates and maintain inline heaters per SOP.

• Performs basic tests and inspections per SOP.

• Completes reports accurately and completely.

• Writes gas handling procedures.

• Directs other employees to assist in the performance of routine measurementrelated activities.

• Recognizes and reacts to abnormal conditions associated with duties.

• Assists in planning work and contributing budget related information as required consistent with the annual budgeting process.

• Consistently works in a safe responsible manner and actively participates in safety related programs.

• Actively participates as a work group team member and maintains a cooperative work relationship with fellow employees.

• Performs work in compliance with Company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies such as the Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Administration (PHMSA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.

• Performs all duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You have the following education and experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent education.

• Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience.

• Minimal directly relevant training and experience.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Drivers License.

• Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.

• Residency Requirement: Must reside within 30 Miles of the assigned reporting location.

• Must be able and willing to work overtime weekends shift be on call and standby and travel overnight as required.

• Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.

Preferred:

• Possesses the desire to learn and advance as a Measurement Technician.

• Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training formal education and/or experience.

• Able to work independently with little direction.

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

• Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.

• Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.

• Proficient in the use of standard office software applications.

• Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness integrity honestly and openness are valued.

• Proven ability to drive and perform job safely.

• Innovative problem solver without compromising SOPs.

• Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.

Physical Requirements:
