Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Country Manager to oversee our clients operations in Tanzania. Our client is a recognized worldwide leader in heavy lifting and engineered transport. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth managing operations and ensuring the delivery of highquality services to our clients within the logistics and engineered transport sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to expand market presence increase revenue and achieve business objectives in Tanzania must have an entrepreneurial mindset
- Operational Management: Oversee daytoday operations including fleet management logistics coordination and supply chain optimization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients understanding their needs and ensuring the delivery of exceptional services that exceed their expectations.
- Team Leadership: Lead mentor and motivate a team of professionals fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and excellence.
- Financial Management: Manage budgeting forecasting and financial performance to achieve profitability targets and maximize return on investment.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with local regulations industry standards and company policies promoting a culture of safety and adherence to best practices.
- Market Analysis and Business Development: Identify market trends opportunities and potential risks and develop strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as regional and global teams as well as external partners government agencies and industry associations to drive business growth and address challenges effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics Engineering or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior management role within the logistics or engineered transport sector with a track record of successfully driving business growth and operational excellence.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and deliver results.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities with a strategic mindset and the capacity to make datadriven decisions.
- Sound knowledge of local regulations market dynamics and industry trends in Tanzania with experience working in the East African region preferred.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with fluency in English; proficiency in Swahili is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets analyze financial reports and drive financial performance.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key clients stakeholders and partners.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic fastpaced environment with a strong commitment to integrity professionalism and continuous improvement.
