The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing employee relations programs policies and procedures. This role focuses on maintaining a positive work environment resolving workplace conflicts and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. The Employee Relations Manager collaborates with HR teams and leadership to promote fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies that foster a positive work environment.
- Address employee grievances conflicts and workplace disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct investigations related to employee complaints harassment and policy violations.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance management and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal labor laws and company policies.
- Facilitate training and workshops on employee relations conflict resolution and company policies.
- Collaborate with HR and management to implement effective employee engagement initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to employee relations cases and investigations.
- Monitor employee morale and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze employee turnover rates and recommend strategies to improve retention.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
- 5 years of experience in employee relations HR management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and employee rights.
- Excellent conflict resolution negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Masters degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRMCP PHR).
- Experience in conducting workplace investigations.
- Familiarity with diversity and inclusion initiatives.
