About the Role
As our Sustainability Project Officer you will lead and support projects focused on urban greening climate action sustainability and enabling a liveable City. Youll work collaboratively to develop and implement initiatives that deliver Unleys vision as a connected progressive resilient City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainability projects that align with our vision of a connected progressive and resilient city.
- Lead climate action initiatives to reduce environmental impact and enhance community resilience.
- Support urban greening efforts to create vibrant livable spaces and promote biodiversity.
- Drive sustainable waste management and resource recovery programs fostering a circular economy.
- Engage with stakeholders businesses and the community to build a shared commitment to sustainability.
- Conduct research and analysis to support evidencebased climate and sustainability strategies.
About You:
- A strong background in sustainability environmental science environmental engineering or related disciplines.
- Experience in local government
- Experience in project management and community engagement.
- Knowledge of climate action sustainability waste management and urban greening strategies.
- Knowledge of carbon accounting and emissions reduction initiatives.
- A forwardthinking mindset committed to shaping a city that is connected progressive and resilient.
