Job Description
Key purpose:
The specialist Caterpillar Forklift Repair Technician will report to the Workshop Manager and will be responsible for training and managing the maintenance team dedicated to trucks and trailers. He will be responsible for the teams performance in this area and for the organization of the area means and activities.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair engine hydraulic system and other forklift component problems
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Develop and maintain records of preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Organize tasks priorities and area of action
- Build and lead teams
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written form
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum experience of 8 years in diagnosis and repair of Caterpillar forklift trucks of different sizes and capacities
- Possess required license and certificates
- Proficiency in handling diagnostic equipment and software and test equipment
- Ability to read and follow instructions manuals mechanical hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Detect skills deficits and propose training plans
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft SAP IT tools
