Description

The Student Life and Spiritual & Intercultural Life Office Manager provides administrative support to the offices of Student Life and Spiritual & Intercultural Life as well as managing the daytoday operations of the office.

STUDENT LIFE

  • Provides administrative support for the work of the Dean of Student Life.
  • Coordinates the creation and issuance of Anderson University ID cards and parking passes for students faculty staff and other authorized constituents.
  • Manages ID card access for students.
  • Crosstrain housing/residence life staff so they can provide helpful support for IDs and parking passes during high traffic seasons.

SPIRITUAL AND INTERCULTURAL LIFE

  • Provides administrative support for the work of the Dean of Spiritual & Intercultural Life.
  • Coordinates the tracking of chapel attendance monitors AUs chapel email and maintains a presence at a chapel kiosk at each corporate chapel meeting to help students that are having difficulty logging their attendance.
  • Coordinate the financial and travel logistics for chapel speakers.
  • Coordinate shuttle services for international students needing to go to and from the Indianapolis airport.

OFFICE MANAGEMENT

  • Creates and maintains a hospitable and welcoming office environment for employees and guests.
  • Provides a warm welcoming and helpful presence for guests.
  • Serves as a point of first contact for student inquiries and routes these appropriately (specifically related to Chapel Housing Conduct and Intercultural programs).
  • Handles confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Make purchases to ensure the office is stocked with the appropriate office supplies.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Maintain a schedule for the Student Life conference room and coordinates schedules for Student Life and Spiritual & Intercultural Life.
  • Ensure that the Student Life and Spiritual & Intercultural Life offices are being properly cleaned by housekeeping.

Other duties as necessary or required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma plus 23 years Administrative Support experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to lead student staff
  • Proficiency in office productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite GoogleWorkspace)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a diverse community


Highly Desired

  • Experience with budget management and basic financial processes
  • Familiarity with student life/affairs departments and services in higher education
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
