Job Description:
Hiring for a fulltime Cleaning Technician to work for a wellestablished production facility in Ashland. Excellent daytime schedule and competitive pay. Benefits available after temptohire period concludes. FT/Days; 5:00 AM 5:00 PM Saturday Sunday and two weekdays. $20.40/hr.
The Cleaning Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the mill as well as properly removing and/or disposing of debris and waste materials in a safe and efficient manner. Employee will clean industrial equipment production areas and support spaces ensuring the site remains safe functional and compliant with workplace health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning of sawmill floors machinery workstations and common areas.
- Safely remove sawdust wood chips and other debris from work areas using appropriate tools such as brooms vacuums or industrial cleaning equipment.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces to prevent the buildup of flammable materials or contaminants.
- Handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with site and environmental guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment as directed by site supervisor.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting bending and/or standing for long periods.
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Awareness of safety hazards in a sawmill setting (e.g. moving equipment airborne particles).
- Background check required.
Schedule: 5:00 AM 5:00 PM Saturday Sunday and additional two weekdays.
Pay: $20.40/hr. Benefits available after temptohire period concludes.
