On Strategy we partner with senior operations leaders to evaluate key trends and inform decisions driving growth external partnerships and business development. On Special Projects we develop and project manage initiatives that transform kidney care for teammates and patients within our geography.

The Senior Analyst Strategy & Special Projects is a key partner on a team that senior leadership depends upon for insights. The role is suited for a highcharacter individual who likes challenging problems thinks creatively has great communication skills and is a team player. We are looking for smart talented and fun people to help drive performance shape strategy and become leaders within our business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analysis: Build refine and own sustainable models which facilitate reporting dashboards and analysis (variance sensitivity statistical); consistently create thoughtful trustworthy
  • Value Creation: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to solve complex issues and identify opportunities to deliver profitable growth and bottomline leverage to DaVita
  • Operations Strategy
    • Partner with finance and operations leaders to assess and quantify opportunities to innovate improve financial performance and foster profitable growth including optimization of clinical footprint and potential external partnerships
    • Generate insights around performance drivers including patient admissions geographic trends payor mix and seasonality
    • Perform monthly quarterly and annual quantitative portfolio growth analysis and present summarized takeaways to senior leaders
    • Facilitate the multiyear forecast process including meaningful outputs presentation materials and an efficient user experience for finance and operations partners
  • Special Projects
    • Develop projects that facilitate strategic goals including growth financial operations team culture and clinical considerations; deliver accountable timelines creative solutions and full engagement
    • Propose and monitor project plans including high engagement and effective coordination with crossfunctional stakeholders and proactive communication
    • Step up to meet ad hoc challenges identified within the organization with dependable project management organization and proactive communication
  • Team: Build a fun cohesive team atmosphere through active engagement and personal development; seek and provide feedback; be proactive driven and dependable
  • Other: Work with all levels of management lead meetings and send actionable recaps

Qualifications:

  • Creativity: A relentlessly curious problem solver who is not afraid to challenge assumptions and take inventive approaches to any problem
  • Project Management Skills: Experience creating comprehensive multiphase project plans developing success criteria working with crossfunctional stakeholders and reporting on progress; experience with Smartsheet software is a plus
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Excel (Expert) and PowerPoint (Advanced) including the ability to translate analyses into business impact; Tableau Python (Pandas SciKit Learn Matplotlib) and SQL are each a significant plus
  • People Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to foster effective teams and partnerships. Work successfully with diverse stakeholders
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate at multiple levels (written oral presentation) and to any type of professional audience. Explain complex topics and distill insights from others
  • Location: Strong preference for candidates located in southern California who are willing to accommodate a balance of both inperson and remote work arrangements
  • Education: Requires a Bachelors degree
  • Work Experience: 24 years of experience prior investment banking management consulting project management or financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
