Job Description

Bishop Montgomery High School is a Catholic collegepreparatory secondary school based out of 5430 Torrance Blvd Torrance California United States.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to support the academic emotional and social development of high school students. The ideal candidate will be experienced in assessment counseling and consultation with a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for eligibility determinations and intervention planning.
  • Develop and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services for students facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Serve as a crisis intervention specialist and contribute to schoolwide safety and mental health initiatives.
  • Collaborate with educators administrators and families to promote student wellbeing and academic achievement.
  • Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Student Support Team (SST) meetings.
  • Deliver staff training on mental health awareness traumainformed practices and classroom strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Specialist (Ed.S.) in School Psychology
  • Valid School Psychologist certification
  • Experience working in a high school or secondary school setting (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of special education law (IDEA Section 504) MTSS and NASP ethical standards
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with psychological assessment tools and reporting software
