Job Description
The Billing Specialist is responsible for all functions of medical billing followup and collection. A successful candidate in this role must be able to think logically to troubleshoot and perform tasks in a fast paced work environment. Candidates should be comfortable verifying patients insurance coverage answering patients billing questions and maintaining patient confidentiality.This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to enter the medical field. Responsibilities
- Verification of clients insurance
- Prepare and submit claims
- Monitor payments for any lapses and send out patient statements
- Reconcile payments
- Work denied claims and send appeals when necessary
- Answer billing questions over the telephone
- Performs other tasks as directed by manager
Qualifications
- Experience and comfort with utilizing a variety of computer applications including but not limited to Email & Excel
- Ability to maintain a calm and friendly demeanor with clients insurance companies and coworkers
- Team Player someone able to work independently & with a team.
- Billing experience is a plus but not required.
