Job Description:
Pay rate of $19.502 per hour to start. If utilized by the Agency and at the discretion of the District those who currently possess a CDL may be promoted to the Worker Senior level at the rate of $20.998 per hour.
Location: Superior. Summer positions temporary until November 30 may depend on the weather may be more or less than 40 hours per week.

Job Duties:
Under immediate supervision perform a variety of manual tasks to maintain and preserve highways shoulders roadside areas and structures as well as preventative maintenance and care of equipment and tools. Examples of work include mowing and trimming vegetation on highway rightofway trash and roadway debris cleanup assist the crew with concrete and asphalt pavement repair setting up and maintaining traffic control devices flagging guardrail repair work cleaning out culverts and other drainage structures cleaning and maintaining equipment tools and facilities as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Highway Maintenance Worker: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers license.
Highway Maintenance Worker/ Senior: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers license and possession of a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License with air brakes and tanker endorsements is required within 60 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications: A valid Class A or B Commercial drivers license. Experience in the operation of heavy equipment. May require out of town overnight travel. Regular and reliable attendance is also required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to safely move drag lift 35 pounds frequently up to 60 pounds occasionally (without assistance) and 90 or more pounds infrequently (with assistance); climb bend or stoop; work in outdoor temperature extremes and work around highspeed traffic. Must be able to be reached to report to work outside scheduled work hours for highway emergencies within 45 minutes of notification.
