Their role will require following daily weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and they should have the necessary skills and abilities to perform defined service tasks. Major Duties and Responsibilities Follows and completes a daily weekly monthly and annual cleaning schedule. These duties include: - Collects all garbage and/or recyclables from the assigned locations and places them in the correct disposal dumpster
- Disinfects and cleans garbage cans and changes liners daily
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures daily with a germicidal solution
- Wet mops all washable floors as specified in the schedule including restrooms stairwells elevators office areas and storage areas
- Cleans glass and/or windows (inside and outside) when required
- Cleans office areas building entrances and walls using a designated cleaning solutionas scheduled or needed
- Vacuum all carpeted areas as specified in the schedule
- Sweeps and clears entrance areas
- Dustmops corridors
- Dust cleans and sanitizes other surfaces as specified in the schedule
- Performs other cleaning duties as specified in the schedule
- Refills paper towels toilet paper and hand soap in all dispensers
- Fills out and maintains housekeeping log according to schedule
- Participates in emergency drills and environmental safety activities as requested
- Attends and participates in worksite safety and inservice training
- Performs other duties as assigned
Reports the following to the Supervisor or designated staff person: - Need for cleaning supplies or equipment repair in advance
- Water leaks and other maintenance needs
- All other health and safety hazards were noticed
Desired Experience/Education - Experience in the custodial field
- Knowledge of proper cleaning methods
Additional Requirements - Must be able to comply and pass a background check as required by the contract
- Must have a vehicle and proof of insurance
- Must be able to move through the worksite physically
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods as well as stoop squat lift carry and push
- Protective equipment such as latex gloves per OSHA regulations is required.d
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
