Job Description
The University of Nevada Reno Libraries invites applications for a Student Success Librarian (tenuretrack Assistant Professor level). This position will focus on library outreach engagement and instruction to support diverse student populations and promote academic success across campus. The successful candidate will also serve as a subject or functional liaison based on their expertise and interests. Reporting to the Director of Research and Instructional Services the Student Success Librarian plays a key role in fostering student engagement and building partnerships across campus. This position involves active collaboration with campus programs a strong commitment to service and a passion for studentcentered outreach and instruction.
Faculty Role:
This tenuretrack faculty position includes the following workload expectations:
70% Librarianship
15% Scholarly activity and publication

Key Responsibilities:
Develop deliver and assess inperson and online library services supporting student success particularly for early undergraduate and underserved populations.
Partner with campus programs such as Dual Credit Core Writing Nevada FIT and initiatives for firstgeneration transfer and international students.
Serve as liaison to one or more academic or functional areas.
Provide instruction to visiting high school groups.
Create instructional materials to enhance students information literacy including Canvas modules online tutorials and library guides.
Deliver curriculumintegrated library instruction in collaboration with faculty.
Offer research support both in person and online.
Stay informed of trends in student success outreach and engagement; integrate innovative practices and technologies.
Foster inclusive services that support students from diverse backgrounds.
Participate in departmentwide research assistance and outreach activities; collaborate with other library units as needed.
Conduct scholarly research publish in peerreviewed venues and present at professional conferences.
Contribute to university and professional service through committee work and other activities.
Required Qualifications
ALAaccreditedMLSor equivalent and two (2) years of experience in a library or instruction setting
Demonstrated commitment to diversity equity and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing or participating in campus programs student support activities or other cocurricular outreach to students
Experience planning and delivering innovative library services and/or information literacy instruction
Experience with instructional design strategies and tools that support online learning such as LibGuides and Canvas
Background in and/or familiarity with one or more subject areas (e.g. social sciences arts) or functional areas (e.g. GIS data support evidence syntheses instructional design).

Compensation
Assistant Professor 12month
