Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONFour Rivers Charter Public School is seeking an outstanding Wellness Teacher and advisor to teach and collaborate on our high school team. Affiliated with EL Education (Expeditionary Learning) Four Rivers is college preparatory and has a clear mission of educating young people for lives of learning and service. This is an opportunity to join a talented and dedicated faculty to continue the development of an exemplary charter public school. Located in Greenfield MA Four Rivers enrolls 220 students in grades 712 and is in its 22nd year of operation. In our dynamic collaborative school teachers work closely with their colleagues developing curriculum and helping shape the culture of the school in accordance with the schools mission and EL Education practices of challenging projectbased learning. Four Rivers is an equal opportunity employer and strives to be an antiracist school. The High School Wellness Teacher works with students in grades 912 teaching physical education nutrition health adventure and other wellnessrelated topics. SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONSAll Commonwealth charter public school teachers must either have an appropriate license or pass required MTEL(s) within the first year of experience as a wellness teacher or related positions with middle and high school students with a minimum of three years in public schools background in wellnessrelated topics as demonstrated through academic preparation professional experience and personal interests.
