POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position would be supporting a mulitlab team building a Linear Induction Accelerator that will generate a highenergy electron beam to collide with a metal target generating Xrays that penetrate test objects. The team is responsible for the design assembly integration and commissioning of the injector modules for the LIA. The injector modules are currently being assembled in Albuquerque New Mexico and will be installed integrated and commissioned at the NNSS site in North Las Vegas Nevada.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Electrical Engineering degree
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5 7 years of handson electrical wiring expeirence
5 7 years of hands on mechanical assembly experience
Able to read schematics wire lists etc.
Ability to work in a diverse work environment
Satisfactory results of a preemployment screening which includes a background check and drug screening
Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience on DOE sites and programs
Current L or Q Clearance
Lab View Experience.
LOCATION
This position requires work in both Albuquerque New Mexico and Las Vegas Nevada. All candidates who apply must be willing to travel to and work in both locations.
Regular travel will be required. Travel arrangements will be coordinated in advance and all travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with GSA guidelines.
Work onsite fulltime in Albuquerque NM (9/80 schedule) through approximately midJuly and then fulltime in Las Vegas NV July 26th April 30th (MonThurs).
