This role emphasizes managing client relationships and administering client accounts to create expand and service trust department relationships while effectively managing the risks associated with the administration of those accounts.
The Senior Advisor exercises discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance to the bank making strategic decisions that impact operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. They follow established policies to ensure effective administration of trusts and estates while providing input on best practices and tailored financial solutions to meet individual client objectives. Collaboration with internal teams is essential for navigating complex regulatory landscapes and the Senior Advisor conducts regular reviews of client accounts offering recommendations that align with changing client goals and market conditions.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Exercise comprehensive oversight of fiduciary accounts bearing full accountability for their administration; make informed strategic decisions independently to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and best practices thereby safeguarding the integrity and performance of fiduciary services.
Serve as a recognized subject matter expert providing authoritative guidance and expertise to clients and stakeholders regarding fiduciary matters thereby enhancing the quality of service provided.
Engage directly with clients and key stakeholders to facilitate the effective administration of accounts addressing inquiries and resolving issues as they arise.
Oversee the annual administrative reviews of trust accounts meticulously verifying the accuracy of documentation transactions and compliance with governing trust agreements.
Conduct thorough analyses of anticipated income to ensure the maintenance of adequate cash reserves for beneficiary distributions and associated expenses.
Prepare and review gain/loss reports manage tax payment obligations and collaborate with external tax vendors and accountants to address taxrelated issues efficiently.
Collect and analyze data for account reconciliations playing a critical role in upholding the financial integrity of fiduciary accounts and ensuring strict compliance with distribution requirements for various trust structures.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement customized investment strategies that align with client objectives and regulatory guidelines.
Serve as a point of escalation for the resolution of client issues ensuring that service quality is maintained and that client expectations are met.
Work in conjunction with external advisors to enhance the trusts market presence and expand client relationships contributing to business growth.
Ensure adherence to all relevant bank policies operational procedures and regulatory requirements thereby mitigating risk and promoting operational integrity.
Maintain ongoing training and continuing education to remain current with industry standards regulatory changes and best practices thereby ensuring the highest level of professional competency.
Extensive knowledge of personal trusts estates custodial accounts agencies guardianships retirement accounts and fiduciary and federal regulations.
Deep understanding of fiduciary responsibilities trust and estate laws and the ethical considerations involved in wealth management.
Strong analytical skills to assess complex financial information and make informed decisions that enhance client outcomes.
