In order to embed essential strategic capabilities Q Energy is seeking to hire a highly skilled and dedicated professional to spearhead and implement the companys offtake strategy revenue modeling and market participation approach.
Your tasks would include:
- Design and execute optimal offtake strategies (e.g. corporate PPAs utility PPAs merchant exposure Fixed profile vs. PaP standalone vs. hybrid asset) tailored to projectspecific and marketspecific conditions.
- Conduct indepth analysis of the Spanish and Portuguese power markets including wholesale pricing balancing/reserve markets and capacity mechanisms.
- Lead revenue modeling and scenario analysis for projects under development and sell down process.
- Provide commercial input into investment decisions asset valuation and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Development EPC O&M Asset management) and external advisors to support Roadtomarket strategies.
- Represent Q Energy in marketfacing discussions with offtakers traders and grid operators where needed.
- Develop PPA strategies reflecting hybridization of different technologies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for renewable energy.
- Demonstrated experience in the Iberian electricity markets (Spain/Portugal) including PPA deal execution and completion with a solid understanding of OMIE REE and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- A comprehensive grasp of market trends related to this sector along with a robust network among key PPA stakeholders.
- Proficient in financial modeling and revenue analysis with skills in Excel Python or other analytical tools.
- Fluent in English; additional languages such as German or Spanish would be beneficial.
- If not residing in Berlin you should be willing to travel regularly to our headquarter.
