Job Description

Description
  • (Internal TitleProject Management IV)
    • Support multiple project and program teams through various stages of the delivery life cycle
    • Monitor and report on programlevel progress
    • Provide advice and support to the Head of PDP including assistance with service delivery internal communications resourcing and other ad hoc needs
    • Maintain and update the organizational structure and operating model for the PDP ensuring alignment with and enhancement of the Client structure
    • Manage special projects as requested by Client. These are typically shortterm initiatives that fall outside the scope of the Annual Work Plans
    • Foster manage and maintain strong client relationships
    • Liaise with senior clientleaders to collect and analyze KPI scores related to Corridor Team and Embedded Resource performance ensuring corrective or improvement actions are tracked and completed as needed
    • Evaluate and establish bestpractice program policies processes and procedures in alignment with the agreedupon program delivery approach
    • Review existing conditions and implement industry bestpractice processes
    • Promote collaboration and build strong relationships within the PDP organization and across all relevant client teams
    • Manage and implement the assigned projects from inception through to completion
    • Develop new project or program plans and expectations in consultation with and delegating deliverables to stakeholders including clients
    • Determine and manage the human and material resources required to complete assigned projects successfully
    • Formulate a resource allocation strategy and utilize this to distribute work and budgets
    • Exercise authority in managing the work and control the delivery of the projects per project plans
    • Review and ensure adherence to the overall scope schedule and budget
    • Identify risks and entrench mitigation strategies and contingency plans
    • Monitor and report on performance against project requirements schedule milestones budgets quality measures and KPIs and address issues with corrective actions as appropriate to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines
    • Evaluate the projects effectiveness by consulting with clients and other stakeholders
    • Establish and deliver progress reports proposals and presentations to various audiences including the project team client executives key stakeholders and Operations
    • Lead scope change negotiations
    • Oversee ongoing quality control participate in quality issue resolution and manage internal quality control checks for the project
    • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle

Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Project Management
    • Broad experience and understanding of project and program management
    • Proven track record working on highvalue infrastructure projects preferably within the rail sector
    • Strong knowledge of planning and project management tools and techniques
    • Awareness of safety considerations in operational and project delivery environments
    • Solid understanding of contractual matters within a project context
    • Experienced in producing highquality written and presentation materials for senior project and program stakeholders
  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in a relevant field
    • Holds a degree or equivalent qualification with professional experience in one or more disciplines related to program project or commercial management
  • Licenses OR Certifications:
    • Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Skills and Competencies:

  • Skilled in identifying and analyzing project program and business risks
  • Experienced in establishing effective project control systems and procedures
  • Broad understanding of project or program technologies planning and delivery methodologies
  • Proficient in monitoring and reporting programlevel progress ensuring efficient and effective resource utilization across the program
  • Knowledgeable in various contract commercial and governance procedures
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate internal and external data and reporting
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for innovation and improvements to existing work practices
  • Strong writing and content development skills for producing highquality written and presentation materials
  • Strong understanding of prevailing Project Management methods
  • Extensive knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Project Management software
  • Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies methods and best practices
  • Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
  • Keen eye for detail and adept problemsolving abilities
  • Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
  • Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured disciplined technologydriven environment
  • Proven capacity to anticipate identify and minimize risks
  • Expert ability to detect capitalize and be sensitive to others strengths
