DescriptionJob Summary
The Manager Rehabilitative Services assists the Director in the management/direction of rehab services within the Rehabilitation Services Department including quality improvement program development and marketing promotions. This role also assists the Director to complete performance appraisals make staff assignments and administer departmental records. The Rehab Manager must foster superior customer service relationships within the rehabilitation department Health System and the local community while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.
Essential Functions
- Performs patient assessment. Established plan of care. Assesses the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goals. Provides care in accordance with physicians orders and established plan of care. Assesses educational needs of the patient family caregiver or significant other and provides education to meet those needs. Plans for discharge. Communicates with patient family caregivers significant other and members of the healthcare team to promote maximum benefit of care. Completes all documentation required to support the services provided and meet organizational clinical and reimbursement requirements.
- Utilizes effective interpersonal skills to interact with patients families fellow workers medical staff and visitors. Demonstrates behavior standards established in Community Cares.

- Performs patient evaluation procedures develops and implements treatment plans and plans for measureable patient outcomes.
- Delegates the implementation of treatment plans to the respective therapy assistant as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree In Physical or Occupational therapy required
- 35 years experience as a practicing therapist required
- 12 years prior supervisory experience required
