NEPEAN Longwall (a division of NEPEAN) partners with its customers to design engineer integrate and support longwall equipment and systems. With purposebuilt facilities located in both Queensland and New South Wales NEPEAN Longwall offers a full suite of aftersales services enabling it to support products throughout their life cycle. The experienced committed and motivated team at NEPEAN Longwall has demonstrated their capability over many years to deliver longwall equipment and system solutions. NEPEAN Longwalls corporate headquarters is located in Mackay Queensland. This purposebuilt facility provides comprehensive aftersales service and support to the regions customers.

Our Opportunity
Due to continued growth NEPEAN Longwall is currently seeking Mechanical Fitters to join the team on 6month contract roles with opportunities for full time roles based on performance. These opportunities are fulltime and based in Kurri Kurri NSW with AM and PM shift options.

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assembly and disassembly of capital and used underground mining materials handling equipment mainly Roof Supports AFC and BSL Overhauls

• Minor welding and other support tasks

• Assisting in the training of apprentices by demonstrating correct work procedures

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the designated workplace and general workshop to 5S standards

Future opportunities within the NEPEAN group may also present for the right candidate.

The Right Person
To be considered for this opportunity you will have:

• A current trade certificate or equivalent qualifications

• Legal rights to work in Australia

• Good organisational and time management skills

• The ability to work both independently and within a team environment
