About the Role
We are seeking a versatile Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise and consulting support across major Defence and industry programs. Youll apply systems engineering principles to solve client problems and deliver highquality technical documentation.
Reporting to the Capability Manager Systems Engineering this role offers the opportunity to lead work packages contribute to proposal development and collaborate closely with clients. Some travel (interstate/international) may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Authoring drafting reviewing and submitting project and technical deliverables in accordance with an assigned scope of work or as directed by the assigned Director Manager or Task Lead.
- Demonstrating technical competence commensurate to a Systematiq Senior Consultant which includes improving on the identified method or process of managing the project.
- Identifying task objectives and taking the necessary action to achieve them.
- Managing supporting activities associated with design development test and evaluation including developing and managing the delivery of project and technical work packages.
- Assist with the development of Systematiq and client bids and proposals including drafting solution descriptions and other technical documentation.
- Support the delivery of assigned tasks in accordance with the contract from Systematiq clients.
- Support staff and subcontractors allocated to the conduct of a project ensuring that you and your team satisfy the identified client requirements.
- Manage project schedule and budget as a task lead.
- Administering managing and tasking assigned staff and sub contractors on a project as a task lead.
- Liaising with clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for value creation.
- Communicating effectively and developing relationships with clients and colleagues as well as developing networks externally and internally subject to Systematiq ethical privacy and security policies.
- Managing client expectations.
- Support developing drafting and submitting business proposals and client presentations.
About You
To succeed in this role youll bring strong technical acumen clientfacing confidence and a proactive independent work style.
Youll have:
- A recognised Engineering qualification
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in Defence Government or Manufacturing environments
- Strong communication problemsolving and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word PowerPoint SharePoint)
- Police Check and eligibility for security clearance
Desirable:
- Experience with Defence procurement tendering or ASDEFCON
