Our core competence lies in the assembly of brush systems for electric motors producing over 110 million such systems annually. Our Automation Division designs engineers and builds a wide range of solutions for these products from simple manual workshops to complex production installations. Other competencies include the production of complex plastic parts and CNC machining
Our partner is looking for a colleague for the role of Product Launch Buyer to follow customer milestones for component delivery manage supplier relationships for new products negotiate for production startup longterm pricing strategy and tooling investment contract terms and conditions optimize design costs and coordinate with the sales team for new business opportunities.
Main responsibilities:
Project Management: Own project deliverables for sourced components including cost milestones and design compliance.
Supplier Selection Process: Execute the selection process for direct material suppliers for New Product Introductions (NPIs) and resource planning based on lifetime spend and Start of Production (SOP).
Supplier Panel diligence: Collaborate with the Commodity team to define the supplier panel send requests for quotations lead eauctions and negotiate with key global automotive suppliers.
Cost Negotiation: Negotiate piece prices and tooling costs to achieve cost savings in procurement contracts.
Source Recommendations: Present final sourcing recommendations to stakeholders in the Sourcing Committee and issue Supplier Award Letters.
Purchase Order Management: Issue purchase orders for new tooling launch homologation batches per automotive standards monitor deliveries and enhance supplier performance.
CrossFunctional Coordination: Coordinate with various functional areas for project execution through to SOP.
Support Sales Team: Assist the sales team in securing new business awards by sharing procurement insights and requesting supplier quotations for pricing and lead times.
Your profile:
Bachelors degree in economics engineering business supply chain purchasing or operations or related discipline;
Proven experience in assessing and managing supplier risks.;
Fluent in English: Proficiency in English is essential and knowledge of German is a plus.;
Good at buying negotiation;
Good analytical and problem solving skills;
Demonstrated ability to manage / lead multiple projects and changing priorities;
Willing to stretch and work with different time zone;
Effective team leader and team participant;
Able to challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas;
Skilled in Microsoft Office;
Preferable automotive industry;
