Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a School Psychologist to work with students to address learning and/or behavioral issues for a school district located in New Mexico. The Psychologist will play a crucial role in supporting students growth development and learning by providing effective Psychological services.

Compensation: $65$69/hr.

Requirements:
licensed as a School Psychologist by the State of New Mexico Public Education Department and possess a license from the State of New Mexico Licensing and Regulation.
Three years of successful work experience in public schools is preferred.
Have National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and be a Medicaid provider.
Demonstrate strong educational/professional and working knowledge of federal regulations and state law related to special education including evaluation and IEP development.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
Willing to carry out assigned tasks and perform responsibilities.
Other qualifications determined necessary by the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:
Member of an interdisciplinary team whose purpose is to provide an appropriate program for children with disabilities and their families.
Evaluate and apply evidencebased practices to support educational programming designed to provide the student with a free and appropriate education.
Communicate clearly in giving and receiving oral/written instruction;
Demonstrate adaptability in relations with coworkers
Exhibit an accepting and nonthreatening attitude and cultural sensitivity to children and families.
Demonstrate the ability to appropriately manage behavior and create an appropriate learning environment which will support students to attain their educational goals.
Demonstrate professional behavior consistent with the professional code of ethics and the District policy and procedures.
Must be willing to travel/use own vehicle for transportation.
