We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool Designer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the design development and documentation of manufacturing tooling to support production quality and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical design principles tooling applications and CAD software proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze product designs and specifications to define tooling requirements.
- Design and develop Jigs Fixtures and Inspection Gauges for QC QA production and assembly functions.
- Create precise 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform engineering calculations to define tolerances clearances and suitable materials.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including technical drawings Bills of Materials (BOM) and assembly instructions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and shop floor teams to ensure seamless integration of tooling into production.
- Continuously identify opportunities for tooling optimization and cost reduction.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven expertise in designing tooling for diverse manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for both 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- Indepth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detailoriented with a strong commitment to quality and precision.
Qualifications:
- Post Diploma in Tool Design from CITD NTTF GTTC / in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- 3 5 years of experience as a Tool Designer or in a similar mechanical design role.
