Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering Bioengineering Pharmaceutical Science Neuroscience Biology or related field with deep expertise in drug transport techniques
Develop novel in vitro and in vivo assays for evaluating functionality targeting efficiency and potency of novel delivery modalities
Be interested in realizing a precision medicine approach to neurological disorders and highly practical actionable and translational research
Strong skills in rodent handling dosing (IC IV etc.) and necropsy (preferred)
Strong skills in tissue culture and bioreactor design (preferred)
Strong skills in lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation characterization and analysis techniques (preferred)
Strong skills in preformulation work such as solubility stability and excipient compatibility testing (preferred)
Knowledge of experimental design
Statistical and quantitative analysis skills
Basic bioinformatics skills
Selfmotivated and highly dedicated
Effective organizational and prioritization skills
Effective oral written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
Strong skills in mathematical modeling of molecular diffusion in multiphase systems and determining primary rate limiting physical and chemical properties of model and molecules of interest (preferred)
Strong skills in integrating output of laboratory and mathematical simulations to provide drug delivery guidelines for molecular transport across multiphase systems as a function of molecular properties (preferred)
