Job Description
Position: Software Architect/Program Manager (Senior Level)
Location: Dumfries VA
Overview: Group W a 100% employeeowned company is searching for a handson Senior Software Architect/Developer to lead and manage software development projects in support of our Department of Defense client. The highly skilled professional will determine plan and delegate tasks on all software development projects for the respective client. The professional is an active member of the development team. This position may require reporting to our Dumfries office in addition to the Mark Center in Alexandria. Candidate chosen must be able to commute to both locations as needed.
Requirements:
- 7 years experience in software design engineering
- Fouryear degree from an accredited university
- Fluency in multiple programming languages
- Active Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
Preferred:
- Masters degree in computer science and engineering or other related technical fields
- Highlevel experience with database design software design patterns and software architecture/collaborative design tools
- Working knowledge of multiple programming languages and frameworks
- Firm understanding of software quality assurance procedures
- Ability to develop and brief software development progress to internal and external leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen intently
- Active TopSecret clearance
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of software developers to:
- Determine and analyze all technical needs
- Design architecture to include the software hardware and communications to support the total requirements
- Test software for quality assurance
- Identify and resolve issues in software systems as needed
- Write and test code as needed
- Provide for present and future crossfunctional requirements and interfaces
- Document software functionality and components
- Approve final products before launch
- Analytically and systematically evaluate any workflow organization and planning problems
- Develop corrective actions to respective problems
- Track project development process
- Facilitate presentations training and briefings as requested
Salary: $170000 $220000 (provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position education training and market considerations).
