We are looking for a dynamic organized selfstarter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Distribution Manager in Morton IL.
TheProduct Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD as within all of Caterpillar our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts DistributionofCat Parts Integrated Logistics segment Procurementand thedesign andmanufactureof Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals Tubes & Hardware Hose & Couplings Fluids and Filters).

Job Summary:
- This Distribution Manager role manages the daytoday operations of the outbound shipping of a large distribution role oversees 2530 hourly associates.
Additional Info:
- This role is in Morton IL and does not offer relocation
- This role is 1st shift: MondayFriday 7am3pm
What You Will Do:
- Managing staffing development and performance management programs for operations employees; managing motivating and developing teams.
- Overseeing outbound shipping dock operations and processes ensuring that safety schedules and performance requirements are met and resources are used effectively.
- Driving improvements for overall operations performance and implementing safety cost and quality control mechanisms.
- Inspires continuous improvement of logistics processes through process improvement prioritization and project planning
What You Have (Required Skills):
- Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting embracing and achieving objectives while having a longterm perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
- Coaching Others: Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage motivate and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.
- Materials Handling and Management: Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform monitor and improve processes related to storage transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.
- Problem Management Process MFG: Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.
- Distribution Center Management: Knowledge of distribution processes issues and considerations; ability to effectively manage the receipt storage and distribution of inventory to stores and/or customers
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):
- Previous experience leading and coaching diverse teams
- Knowledge of EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
- Prior experience in Distribution or Logistics
- Degree or equivalent experience desired

Summary Pay Range:
$87480.00 $131280.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
