Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and qualified educator to teach within our Chapter 74 program in the Graphic Arts/Communications department at Westfield Technical Academy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the marketing and graphic communications industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both marketing and graphic design along with a passion for teaching and fostering a handson realworld learning Responsibilities:Develop and deliver engaging and relevant curriculum for marketing and graphic communications ensuring alignment with Massachusetts Chapter 74 standards and students various aspects of marketing including advertising branding social media strategies and market students in graphic design principles software tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) typography and visual communication handson training in both marketing and graphic design projects that simulate realworld business and industry student progress through assignments projects and exams providing constructive feedback to support skill a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning collaboration and uptodate knowledge of industry trends tools and technologies and incorporate them into the students in internships cooperative education or job shadowing opportunities as part of the Chapter 74 with colleagues administration and industry professionals to enhance student learning and compliance with state and federal education regulations and :Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Graphic Design or a related Massachusetts teaching certification in Vocational Education or ability to obtain in teaching or working within marketing and graphic design fields with a strong knowledge of industry practices and software tools (Adobe Creative Suite Microsoft Office etc.).Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations and effectively integrate projectbased learning and industry communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on student development and to stay current with emerging marketing and graphic communication technologies and Qualifications:Industry certifications in marketing graphic design or related with Chapter 74 programs and vocational education experience teaching in a high school or technical education media managementCompensation:Salary is commensurate with experience and in accordance with the districts pay Opportunity Employer:We are committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
