The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking an Experienced Engineering Technology Specialist to join our team in Berkeley MO. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing ASIT lab operations & coordination across our labs supporting Air Dominance and Weapons programs. The scope of responsibility includes operating lab electronic equipment assisting engineering with lab tests and maintaining safety quality program execution and compliance within our various System Integration Labs (SIL/AIL) HardwareintheLoop Simulators (HILS) and Vehicle Management System (VMS) Labs. The position works closely with BT&E leadership ASIT team members and others to lead on safety quality execution compliance and functional excellence.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Bring up and operate Electronics Test Benches and Simulation Systems or assist team personnel with operating Test Benches and Simulation Systems
- Assist team personnel with electronics testing and troubleshooting
- Develop document implement provide consultation on the application of and ensure compliance with requirements for use of engineering tools processes and standards
- Provide training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Provide configuration management property management coordinate changes perform assessments of compliance and manage the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs
- Develop maintain and distribute engineering documents reports and correspondence to enable business activity
- Collect analyze and validate engineering performance metrics and coordinate organizational requirements to support business needs
- Work under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5 years of experience as a mechanical technician or an electrical technician
- 1 years of experience writing/following processes procedures and specifications
- 1 years of experience troubleshooting avionic equipment general electronics and/or aircraft systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with project management and the ability to selfmanage projects
- Experience analyzing and applying metrics to enable key business decisions and process improvement
- Experience installing/integrating hardware equipment/devices into a lab environment
- Experience with aerospace or military electronics
