Were looking for talented engineers to join our new team developing the software backbone for AWSs nextgeneration Machine Learning systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of custom hardware and advanced software development where youll:
Work with proprietary chip designs and accelerators that push technical boundaries
Develop software stacks that power state of the art cloud solutions
Collaborate on customdesigned servers and hardware that form the foundation of modern ML infrastructure
Help shape the future of AWSs machine learning capabilities

Key job responsibilities
Architect and develop missioncritical software that powers Annapurna Labs nextgeneration machine learning platforms
Collaborate with EC2 teams and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless system integration
Drive endtoend qualification processes for new software implementations
Craft highperformance solutions using C/C Python and Lua

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java C or C# including objectoriented design
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience in embedded development in C/C
Experience working with embedded systems and hardware
Experience with the Linux kernel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
