The Events & Operations Coordinator will coordinate and oversee assigned tasks and deliverable related to the design and execution of Advancement Alumni Engagement and select University events. This role will work in collaboration with the Director of Events.
Essential duties:
- Assist with email communications in support of Alumni Engagement and Advancement goals working in collaboration with University Marketing copywriters and the Advancement and Alumni Engagement teams.
- Coordinate and support special projects for stewarding donors and for helping to enhance engagement with and advocacy for the University.
- Assist with office management duties and project management to support the EVP of Advancement & Enrollment and AVP of Advancement.
- Attend University functions and professional events as a representative of University Advancement.
- Record all personal contacts and correspondence with donors/prospective donors in Virtuous Database.
- Assume other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; degree in communications marketing or business preferred
Candidates must have:
- Experience in managing and supporting various aspects of the design and production of largescale events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally
- Strong and proven relationship skills establish and maintain effective team relationships and work collaboratively with other professionals to enhance the creative process and advance team goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Adobe software (Photoshop InDesign Illustrator and Premiere) preferred
- Function as a team player yet be selfmotivated and able to work well independently
- Creative organized and detailoriented
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with the ability to multitask and pivot quickly in response to changes in priorities or requirements
- Dependable and exercise good judgment; possess excellent process and followup skills; able to keep confidentiality of information;
- Available to work evenings/weekends on the rare occasions needed
