Job Description

Lead Procurement Agent (Level 5)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Lead Procurement Agent (Level 5) to join our Seat Integration team in Everett WA.

The selected candidate will be working in a very dynamic fastpaced environment while learning new skills solving challenging problems and experiencing opportunities to grow in the SC organization. This position is supplier and customer facing and will be responsible for managing the relationship with external suppliers and project managing all aspects of their performance. This position may require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel.

As an integral member of the SC Seat Integration team the Procurement Agent will interface with external suppliers airlines customers and internal organizations through their supply chain knowledge with a focus on development programs customer introductions and seats certification. This role requires blending strategic thinking with ontheground execution enabling the organizations to efficiently and effectively achieve development program milestones. Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops procurement and supply chain solutions strategies and policies to support customer requirements.
  • Develops and executes company strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops organization and company improvement plans.
  • Lead complex development programs to support airline requests and airplane deliveries.
  • Communicate performance expectations and Consults with external customers and crossfunctional stakeholders to resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
  • Initiate and implement supplier recovery and improvement activities and manage mitigation plans.
  • Provide analysis propose solutions and manage expectations for solutions to meet Customer and Airplane Program requirements as necessary.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 10 years of experience working Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW)
  • 10 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes
  • 10 years of experience in crossfunctional leadership collaborative problem solving building lasting relationships and proficiency in written/verbal communication
  • 10 years of experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and executive leadership
  • 10 years of experience strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • 5 years managing supplier quality and delivery performance
  • 5 years of experience working in Procurement and/or Contract Administration roles
  • 5 years of experience with managing/inspecting buy furnished equipment (BFE)
