We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle electrical and mechanical troubleshooting across machines equipment building systems grounds and utilities. The ideal candidate will be a journeyman electrician with strong mechanical skills and experience in electrical mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The role requires the ability to read electrical oneline schematics work within a preventive maintenance program and source parts efficiently to minimize downtime.
Key responsibilities include maintaining machinery in clean reliable working condition replacing motor brushes and using a Fluke meter to test motors circuit breakers fuses and contactors. Experience in removing and installing bearings as well as fabricating metal components from raw materials is highly valued. Candidates must be prepared to respond to emergency calls during offhours and weekends.
Expectations
To excel in the role youll need a strong mechanical aptitude the ability to read and interpret technical drawings follow detailed instructions and comply with safety requirements including wearing a respirator and other protective gear. You should also have a solid understanding of the business environment. You balance a desire to support and work closely with customers along with your passion for development of cuttingedge products.
To succeed in this role you will need
This role requires a high school diploma or GED along with completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training program in industrial maintenance electrical systems or mechanical repair. A current journeyman electrician certification is required. While not mandatory an associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus. Candidates should also have completed relevant safety training and hold applicable OSHA certifications such as Lockout/Tagout or Arc Flash. Practical handson experience is essential and often carries more weight than formal education alone.
