The Mortgage Processing Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the mortgage processing team to ensure timely accurate and compliant processing of residential mortgage loans. This role is responsible for supervising mortgage processors managing workflow resolving escalated issues and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate will bring leadership mortgage industry knowledge and a customerfocused mindset to support successful loan closings.
What youll do:
- Supervise and lead a team of mortgage loan processors including training coaching and performance evaluations.
- Monitor daily processing activities to ensure loan files are completed efficiently and in compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Review and resolve escalated loan file issues and ensure timely communication with underwriters loan officers and customers.
- Collaborate with other departments including underwriting closing and compliance to ensure a smooth and timely loan pipeline.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to all federal state and investor regulations including TRID RESPA and other applicable guidelines.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of mortgage products investor guidelines and regulatory changes.
- Generate and analyze processing metrics and reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications :
What youll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in business finance or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 35 years of mortgage loan processing experience with at least 12 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending guidelines (FHA VA FNMA FHLMC).
- Proficiency in mortgage loan origination systems (LOS) and document management software.
- Excellent organizational communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
What you need to know:
- This is a hybrid role requiring 23 days in our Tempe office.
- Standard business hours with occasional overtime and weekends during peak periods.
