Position: Mold Technician
Company: Tenn Tex Plastics Inc. (A Marmon Holdings Company)
Department: Production/Maintenance
Reports To: Plant Manager
Location: Colfax NC
Overview:
Tenn Tex Plastics a leader in the molding injection industry and part of the Marmon Holdings family is seeking an experienced Mold Technician to support our production team. The Mold Technician will play a critical role in setting up maintaining and troubleshooting molds to ensure highquality production and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mold changes setups and adjustments on injection molding machines according to production schedules.
Troubleshoot and resolve moldrelated issues including equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
Inspect clean and maintain molds ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Assist in the installation and alignment of molds utilizing precision tools and equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance and document mold performance and repairs.
Collaborate with the production team to optimize cycle times and product quality.
Monitor equipment and process parameters to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment adhering to all company safety policies.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report issues or recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mold maintenance or related fields preferred.
3 years experience as a Mold Technician in a molding injection environment.
Strong knowledge of injection molding processes equipment and materials.
Proficient in the use of precision tools measuring devices and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks including standing bending and kneeling.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery noise and temperature variations.
Frequent standing bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
