What Youll Do:
As our Human Resource Generalist youll play a pivotal role in the daily functions of the HR department including hiring interviewing payroll safety workers comp benefits leave and enforcing policies and practices. Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the entire recruiting process including recruiting onboarding and orientation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for applicants and employees regarding HR inquiries policies and support fostering open communication and a positive workplace environment.
- Coordinate attendance records for hourly employees and implement disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies ensuring fair and consistent enforcement.
- Manage the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate data management streamline HR processes and provide support for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Excellent verbal and written communication along with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail effective time management and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
- Committed to acting with professionalism and confidentiality knowledgeable about employmentrelated laws and regulations and adherence to company policies on safety attendance and appearance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of quickly learning HRIS and talent management systems ADP and Workday preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
