An employee in this role engages in semiskilled tasks independently provides assistance to skilled tradespeople or takes on the responsibility of leading a small team of manual laborers who carry out routine assignments. The work entails utilizing a diverse range of construction groundskeeping and maintenance tools and equipment often necessitating the application of skills that are developed through handson experience in the field. The employee is expected to perform minor repairs along with regular groundskeeping and custodial responsibilities with a significant degree of autonomy with their work being subject to review upon completion. For more complex construction or repair tasks the employee operates under the guidance of a skilled trades worker or a supervisor ensuring that all work meets the required standards and specifications.
