Marketing and Communications Intern
The Itasca Park District is hiring a Marketing & Communications Internto support the promotion of programs events facilities and community partnerships. This position plays a vital role in content creation outreach and event marketing under the direction of the Superintendent of Marketing & Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating and distributing marketing materials (flyers banners brochures eblasts social media)
- Capture and organize photos/videos from events for promotional use
- Help manage content across social media platforms and the agency website
- Support sponsorship outreach and event promotion
- Attend select events and assist with dayof coverage
- Collaborate with recreation staff to market programs
- Proofread and edit materials for clarity and consistency
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 with a high school diploma or GED; Associates degree in Marketing Communications or related field preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Adobe Creative Cloud Canva; WordPress experience a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Familiar with Facebook and Instagram for business use
- Valid drivers license required
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain training provided)
Schedule:
Flexible hours including weekdays evenings weekends and occasional holidays based on project and event needs.
