Job Description

Salary/Position Classification

  • $4738$6079 per course dependent on experience
  • 612 hours per week depending on course load

Purpose of Position

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Dakota (UND) seeks a parttime instructor to teach one and/or two courses in adult neurogenic disorders. The format of the course offerings is flexible and could be offered oncampus only online only or hyflex. This position may be offered again incontingent upon enrollment funding and satisfactory performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Teach graduate courses in adult neurogenic disorders. Applicants may apply to teach one or both courses below:

  • Aphasia (3 credits fall)
  • Right hemisphere damage (3 credits fall)

Required Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills including evidence of the ability to teach inspire and mentor students.
  • Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty staff and students.
  • Ability to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt to current methods of teaching via online delivery in teaching remotely.

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology or related field.
  • Demonstrated research or clinical experience in adult neurogenic disorders.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D in SpeechLanguage Pathology or related field.
  • Experience with graduatelevel course development.
  • Teaching experience.
