Description

The Assessment Services Department has two (2) fulltime (1.0 FTE) 10month Central Office Resource Teacher vacancies.


Collaborate with district and school site staff to collect analyze interpret and apply data in ways that expand opportunities for all students to succeed. Resource Teachers in this role will build the assessment and data literacy of site administrators and schoolbased data teams supporting them in making informed decisions that enhance student learning outcomes. They will help cultivate a culture of meaningful assessment data analysis and progress monitoring and guide staff in understanding the implications of data for instructional practices at the classroom grade level and schoolwide levels. Position will require traveling to school sites.

Examples of Duties

The Central Office Resource Teacher duties for this department includes but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of summative and formative assessments and their instructional implications.

  • Analyze synthesize and facilitate the use of multiple sources of student data to inform personalized instruction and targeted support that meet the needs of all learners.

  • Support schools in accessing organizing and interpreting data from multiple systems to drive instructional improvement and address teaching and learning needs.

  • Design and provide training and expertise in data and assessment literacy to promote accurate data interpretation and appropriate assessment use to teachers administrators central office staff and parents.

  • Offer guidance on the effective use of District data management systems to support instructional planning and student monitoring.

  • Capable of quickly learning and proficiently using technology equipment and software applications as needed to support instruction and collaboration.

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse adult audiences. They are adaptable wellorganized and able to manage shifting priorities with professionalism and composure.

  • A collaborative mindset openness to new ideas and a commitment to innovative problemsolving are essential.

  • The candidate should bring empathy a willingness to take thoughtful risks and a positive collegial presence that strengthens a culture of continuous improvement and shared responsibility.











Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have:

  • A valid CaliforniaMultiple subject and/or Single Subject Math or ELA
  • Five or more years of classroom experience (selfcontained); recency in the classroom must have been within the last 10 years.
    Preferred: Math or EL/DL/Bilingual or Secondary

Applicants credentials must be attached to their application and registered with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the close of the posting. Applicants must have a valid California drivers license and be prepared to conduct participate in and travel to sites professional development sessions workshops and meetings.
