DescriptionFederal Facilities Project Manager

Provide lease management program analysis project management and housing administration/tenant management contract services for personnel support within the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Facilities Management and Engineering (FM&E) Mission Support Facilities (MSF) Program Office. Assists with housing and other facility needs located in the Tucson area.

Estimated Starting Salary Range forLeasing Project Manager: $122000$127000
Pay commensurate with experience.

Federal Facilities Project Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Manage one or more major construction repair alteration and/or leasing projects from inception to completion.
- Oversee the overall management control coordination and execution of assigned projects including complex and longterm leasing space acquisition and construction management projects encompassing architectural and structural phases of construction plans specifications and estimates related to facility/building utilization.
- Serve as a project manager technical expert and coordinator in facility requirements planning translating general space layout requirements into specific operational requirements and manage projects until facility occupancy.
- Translate userdefined operational needs into facility requirements and lead facility construction projects requiring extensive planning efforts.
- Review requests for facility/leasing/building construction alteration and restoration.
- Coordinate the planning design cost engineering construction and environmental considerations with management.
- Collaborate with management to develop working drawings and diagrammatic sketches that translate facility requirements into plans elevations sections and details indicating the design location dimensions and materials to be used.
- Prepare and review floor plans to assess the adequacy of layout and workflow budgetary impact and conformance with accepted business practices and techniques or the need for deviations due to unusual functions or unique conditions. Also prepare government cost estimates associated with projects.
- Control and manage project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. Review project progress measure performance and take corrective actions as needed to maintain the agreedupon schedule and cost.
- Conduct frequent site visits during various project phases to monitor the progress of alterations and construction assess the quality of work and materials and ensure conformity with project drawings specifications and best practices. Provide written reports and/or make oral presentations recommending solutions for specific problems encountered during site visits.
- Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.
Federal Facilities Project Manager Experience Education Skills Abilities requested:
- Five (5) years of specialized experience that equipped you with the skills needed to perform the job duties on a wide range of complex activities requiring the use of industry standards for qualitative methods of assessment of complex management processes systems and mission support programs.
- Proficiency in planning and conducting studies independently or as part of a team analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantial operating programs.
- Expertise in providing guidance and opinions on identifying optimal building sites based on terrain climate construction costs maintenance and operations.
- Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for preparing detailed program and space planning requirements project estimates and schedules that align with business partner operational needs for leasing renovation maintenance repair and replacement moves property management and construction parameters.
- Strong communication skills both orally and in writing to convey information clearly concisely and with technical accuracy. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a team of interdisciplinary professionals including attorneys federal law enforcement public affairs specialists architects environmental scientists and engineers regulators and external federal agencies as well as tribal state and local regulatory and resource management stakeholders general contractors occupants and the public.
- Must be able to obtain a favorable determination of the DHS Background investigation.
