Crafco has an opening for an Production Support Materials Technician at our equipment plant in Chandler AZ.
The Production Support Materials Technician is responsible for the efficient offloading handling verification and storage of all incoming materials. This role is crucial in ensuring that the manufacturing departments are supplied with the necessary parts subassemblies are stored properly and inventory is accurately maintained.

Specific Duties:
- Responsible to safely and properly unload and store designated incoming materials verifying identification and quantity of materials. Responsible for inspecting steel at receipt/reject. Good knowledge of raw steel is useful.
- Inspect shipments for discrepancies or damage and report any issues promptly.
- Store materials in designated areas only. All parts materials and equipment must remain within designated red line storage areas. DO NOT place materials against the building or other items.
- Responsible to supply to shop floor designated parts and move from shop floor designated subassemblies and properly store in assigned
- Shall operate forklifts carts and other equipment always in a safe responsible
- Computer experience necessary. MS Office and SAP a plus.
- Responsible for the accuracy completeness and timeliness of all required paperwork and performance of assigned duties.
- Shall assist in cycle counts physical inventory pulling of parts for orders storage of parts. Keep inventory organized and in the correct part number location.
- Assign all raw material jobs to the proper work Load each workstation to ensure high operator and machine efficiency.
- Expedite material shortages. Responsible for rotation of stock and obsolete
- Job responsibilities require 80% to 90% working outside.
- Charge propane tanks when needed.
- All tasks are to be performed with a spirit of cooperation showing respect and support for teammates to foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- 3 years relevant experience preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to support a teamoriented work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors coworkers and other departments.
- Familiarity with inventory management and material storage procedures.
- 23 years of experience operating a sitdown propane forklift.
- Computer experience necessary. MS Office and SAP a plus.
- Ability to inspect shipments for discrepancies or damage and report issues promptly.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure materials are safely stored in designated areas and there is no damage to surrounding buildings or materials.
- Cleanliness organization of work area plant areas and equipment.
- Ability to complete and maintain accurate paperwork and records.
- Use of measuring tape and measuring gauge.
- Can lift 50 lbs. Capable of lifting carrying and moving materials as required.
- Demonstrated performance of assigned duties safe professional manner cooperative attitude and positive interfacing with other departments. Able to work as a team.
- The loading unloading and storage of materials should be done in a safe appropriate manner.
- Timeliness of moving finished goods to the yard and its organization.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and mechanical condition of the forklift.
- Attendance and conformance with company operational and personnel procedures and policies.
- Able to work 6:002:30 Monday through Friday. Able to work overtime if required.
