Job Summary:
The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing safety programs and initiatives at our Union Grove location and across multiple locations in the region. This role will work closely with operations and management to ensure compliance with safety regulations drive safety culture and minimize risk. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of manufacturing safety experience and a basic understanding of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop implement and manage regional safety policies and procedures across manufacturing locations.
Conduct safety audits inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA state federal and local safety regulations.
Lead incident investigations identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Deliver safety training programs for all levels of employees including supervisory and management staff.
Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and compliance ensuring continuous improvement.
Collaborate with HR and operations teams to promote employee safety awareness and wellbeing.
Maintain safety data and ensure timely reporting to regulatory agencies.
Ensure proper safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) is available and used appropriately.
Stay current on local state and federal safety regulations as well as CCOHS standards for manufacturing environments.
Foster a culture of safety ensuring employee engagement and feedback regarding safety protocols and practices.
Work closely with the corporate safety team to align regional efforts with companywide safety goals.
Help with emergency situations including fire and medical situations.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience in managing workplace safety programs.
Basic understanding of Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) guidelines.
Strong communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to identify and mitigate workplace safety risks.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in safety management (e.g. CSP CIH or equivalent).
Experience in multisite or regional safety management.
Experience with safety audits risk assessments and emergency response plans.
Working Conditions:

Primarily based in Union Grove WI with travel to various manufacturing sites within the region.
Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required for incident management or audits.
Ability to travel to Canada
