Job Description

NURSING PROGRAM COORDINATOR

  • Department: Nursing
  • Job Status: Full Time
  • FLSA Status: NonExempt
  • Reports To: Director of School of Nursing
  • Grade/Level: College degree or higher education preferred
  • Amount of Travel Required: Minimal
  • Work Schedule: Flexible during semester; Hybrid when students are not in semester; up to 40 hours/week
  • Positions Supervised: Work Study Students
  • Starting wage: $20 per hour; compensation may be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY


The Nursing Program Coordinator supports operations activities and knowledge management that sustain and advance the missionaligned culture of excellence of the School of Nursing (SON) at Benedictine College. The Nursing Program Coordinator serves as an ambassador of the Nursing Program employing a variety of communication strategies that range from interfacing with SON students faculty other college departments prospective students guests donors and other college stakeholders. This position will coordinate prospective student visits with Nursing Program faculty and the admissions office.

The Nursing Program Coordinator will provide a full range of professional support for the Benedictine College School of Nursing program. The Nursing Program Coordinator will engage and support four key areas of the SON which include data management academic coordination accreditation standards and surveys and school policy. The Nursing Program Coordinator will independently administer several assigned responsibilities ensuring smooth office execution and excellent customer service. To perform this job successfully the Nursing Program Coordinator must be able to perform each primary responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge skill and /or abilities required.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist Director with projects and report preparation from accrediting and reporting agencies.
  • Maintain the continuous improvement of knowledge and data management including records of courses surveys budgets and grants as required by the School of Nursing Benedictine College Kansas State Board of Nursing and other agencies.
  • Administers surveys and analytical support for classes with students and faculty.
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding issues related to the School of Nursing.
  • Plan and procure necessary items for School of Nursing Pinning Ceremony and other department events.
  • Advise and coordinate marketing and communication projects to enhance the positive messaging to all SON stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with students faculty staff and other stakeholders as the first line of communications in the SON.
  • Supervise Work Study students and advise projects.
  • Supervise timecards for Work Study students and Parttime adjunct Clinical Instructors on Paylocity.
  • Coordinate and manage School of Nursing calendars and logistics for classroom management.
  • Direct the procurement of department support and educational supplies.
  • Manage all financial accounts within the School of Nursing for faculty and department expenses.
  • Report on budget expenses at faculty meetings.
  • Attends as appropriate department meetings and records minutes.
  • Support and engage with the accreditation activities.
  • Organizes support for faculty and student gatherings.
  • Fosters hospitality and facilitates SON tours to prospective donors and students.
  • Interfaces with various college departments for business management marketing operations printing and special events.
  • Provide a full range of administrative to the School of Nursing and as part of Benedictine College.
  • Prepare coordinate and maintain files for students faculty and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that supports the mission of the SON.

Experience

  • College degree or higher education preferred.
