Job Description

We are hiring a qualified Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for theSchool Year in Derby Kansas! This is a full time position following the school district calendar that pays $50.00/Hour and includes benefits!Travel pay packages available for teachers who live more than 50 miles from the school now to learn more!The Teacher for the Deaf and HardofHearing teaches deaf and hardofhearing pupils in a classroom setting. Instructs in academic subjects of regular curriculum or adapted curriculum to meet needs of student population. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree from an accredited university preferredValid state teaching certificate as required by state regulationsKnowledge in Sign Language and use of amplification devices for the deaf and hardofhearingExperience with deaf and hardofhearing students preferredASL proficiency exam or Certification may be required per state contract or districtCurrent CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire PPD or chest xray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age
